The best laid plans
I woke up this morning (a good start to any day) and for the first 10 minutes all I could do is imagine that I was allowed to stay in bed as long as I wanted. Not a very productive line of thought, nor was it particularly restful as it was punctuated with "mommy, come on in" coming through on the princess' monitor.
Then I realized that I had failed to implement my new "gain time" plan. In one of the organization books I have been reading, the author suggested that anyone can gain time by simply waking up an hour earlier. Over the course of one year, that would add up to 7 1/2 days! Knowing myself fairly well, I knew that an hour earlier can't happen. So, I thought... a half an hour would add 3 3/4 days- that's pretty good- seems reasonable enough...AND I figured that daylight savings time was the perfect opportunity... or not. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

To actually gain time you have to be willing to sleep less. I don't like it.
